The Inside Track - May 2015

What an amazing school year it has been, thanks to all the volunteers, parents, school teachers, and principals for their continued support of the iRun4Life running program.
We have 27 schools in 10 different school districts with over 2700 children participating in the iRun4Life running program.  Even more amazing than that, we had over 1250 children participating in their organized goal race, either a 3k or 5k.  Our 2015 iRun4Life Kids Only 3k had 766 runners.  The Groveland Grizzly, SK5K, Doylestown Red, White & Blue, RES Smart Run and Valley Community Outreach races had over 485 children; 12 and under running.   If your school utilized the iRun4Life website to track your child's mileage, please don't forget to include those race miles and any miles they run over the summer.  To date, the children in the iRun4Life running programs have logged over    285,000 miles.
We won the 2015 Bucks Happening this year and were nominated for the Best of Bucks.  Thanks for letting your iRun4Life School directors know they are making a difference in your child's life through introducing running, healthy nutrition and doing good deeds. It is their hard work and dedication that makes these programs work.

A special thanks to the iRun4Life Board of Directors for all their long hours re-writing our new website that includes the mileage and good deed tracking logs and the Race Committee for making the iRun4Life Kids Only 3K a success.
Help us make a difference, even parents with minimal extra time can be an asset to our team.

Gotta run,

Recipes for Runners

This is currently my favorite dinner salad. My kids scarf it down and want more! Don't be turned off by the long ingredient list. This is such a colorful, fresh and satisfying dinner. You can cut down on the sugar by decreasing the marmalade and sweet chili sauce. If you're lucky, you will have some leftover for lunch the next day--bring a mint!

Thank You Sponsors

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank the 2015 iRun4Life Kids Only 3k sponsors.  Please offer your own support and recognition for these terrific organizations - use their products and services, and let them know how much you appreciate their generosity and commitment to iRun4Life.
